Church Reopening for Worship Services - 6/21/20
As of the session meeting held on Saturday, June 13th the session decided to reopen the sanctuary for Sunday services starting June 21st. We will begin church at 10:00 following our typical summer hours. There will be no Adult Sunday School or fellowship before church. The reopening is subject to change upon the Governor’s state orders and/or the decision of the session. We will still offer online services and suggest that anyone who is ill or has a compromised immune system continue to watch the Sunday service from their home. If you feel comfortable coming to worship at church we ask that you please follow these guidelines: Please park in the back parking lot. Please wear a mask when entering and exiting the building and until you are seated in the sanctuary. (We strongly encourage you to bring your own mask, but a mask will be available upon request.) Wait for an usher to meet you at the north door where you will be escorted to your seat in the sanctuary. If the weather is such that you must wait inside to be ushered to your seat, please practice social distancing while waiting. Please use provided sanitizer on your hands before entering sanctuary. If you would like to have a beverage during church we recommend that you bring your own from home as the kitchen will not be available. If you have a Bible, we recommend that you bring your own. Tithes and offerings will be collected as you enter or exit the sanctuary. Please drop your envelope in the collection plate. This was a difficult decision for the session members to make and we want to again encourage all those who don’t feel comfortable coming to church right now to not feel pressured to do so. We are a tight-knit family and miss being together right now, but we also need to consider the health and wellbeing of all involved. As was stated in the newsletter, don’t hesitate to call one or all the session members if you have a question or concern about the decisions we are making. If you know of someone who may not see this message either via Facebook Messenger or the church website, be a good family member and give them a call and let them know we are going to be having in person services again.
